Sit and wait
In a pensive state
A judgment call
One man to make
Effects a child
Decides her fate
Hands are tight
Heart in a vice
Wanting only
what’s best for her life
No built-in problems
For her to face
She has no blame
For being in this place
Oh, what a future
She’ll have if she stays
For her parents mistakes
She’ll never pay
Oh, lord we pray
For your blessings this day
I love and thank you
This I must say
I know you watch over her
What’s needed you’ll give
A blessed and happy life
I know she will live

Commentary: This was written while waiting for a placement modification hearing to take place regarding my daughter. When things are out of my control, I tend to acknowledge Gods plan and will for us all.
