If you all could see me now
How surprised you’d be
At all the beauty and the light
I had inside of me
Brighter than your eyes could see
My soul was pure and true
But something happened in my life
That kept it from your view
I doubt you ever saw it
I know you could not see
All the love I had within
That god had given me
I hope your eyes will open
I pray that you will see
The love God has inside of you
Is just the same as me
Go in peace and with love
To the stillness in your mind
Knowing if you hear these words
My love you’re sure to find
Commentary: I think it’s a shame when people only see the worst in others. It’s a failure on their part to see things from a place of compassion and understanding.
